Ron D'Haene bio

In everyone's life a little rain must fall! The last storm in my life was a pipeline accident in August of 2000 that left me with permanent mental and physical disabilities. Up to the accident I was an active-aholic, working construction as a Member of the Labourers Local 1089 in Sarnia, Ontario, as well as developing a dormant 99 acre bush lot into a "wildlife project" over a ten year period. My motto was "build it and they will come". It truly was addictive and fulfilling. The accident however, brought my life to a sudden stop, and everything I identified with was taken from me. This loss left me depressed and withdrawn, symptoms that can still haunt me even to this day.

In December 2001, on the evening of my second MRI, something life changing occurred. A vision of a photograph that I had taken many years earlier flashed through my mind. This image I believe was God's way of leading me in the direction of what has turned out to be Naturalist Photography. I truly believe that the photography of the wondrous beauty that surrounds us and the sharing of it with the world is God's purpose for my life. He needed to make me the way I needed to be in order to photograph the images that He wanted me to take.

The response to my photography has been truly inspiring to me.   Watching how it has touched men and women both young and old has humbled my soul and brought me tears of joy. It has also brought hope into my life, and I pray that it will bring a little light and life to you, the viewer, as it has done to me.

Victorious Survivor

You can choose to remain a victim or you can choose to be a victorious survivor.   The choice is yours.

If you choose to be a survivor, start with small choices and as you surrender your will or choice to God, He will guide you.   In time you will see yourself go from being a victim to "more than a conqueror in His strength"
Romans 8: 37-39

I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me.
I can do everything through Him who gives me strength
